Varying Subjects

Cruelty, hatred, fear, and war. These words usually interplay within our emotions once or when we are at the height of anger. When we are bombarded with a lot stressors that would provoke our anger, we became blinded and we could even do what don't expect. Throwing sharp objects, breaking utensils, punching the the door, slapping someone's face, banging the tables are just few of the many acts that we usually do when we can no longer control our own emotions.

These are for me natural because humans as we are, have limitations too. I even had an experience with my close friend before. We had a "heavy" argument about her late attendance of our general assembly. I waited for her for about 45 minutes at the Freedom Park. In the first 15 minutes, I sent her a message: "asa naka?". She replied: "coming na dang". So I waited. After another 15 minutes, I sent her another message: " asa na gud ka dang?". I received no reply. I was becoming impatient and I held my phone tightly trying to weigh my growing anger. I then sent her a message : " ASA NA GUD KA!! ANA KA COMING NAKA! DI NA LAMANG TA MANG- APIL ANI? ". She responded: " Sorry kau dang, hapit nako kau". So I waited again. After 10 minutes, she arrived and I immediately scolded her with a loud and an angry voice. She answered: " Ayaw ing-ana dang! Wala ka kabalo unsa kalisud ganena pag pananghid ug pag pangau ug pliti ni Mama! Pobre ra bya mi dang! Sabot pud lamang."

Lesson learned? It is always better if we would first know the reasons behind some unexpected instances before we scold and pour our anger to people that easy because we are not in the same lifestyle and status in life; most importantly, we don't know what they are going through.  We probably know what they are feeling but we don't exactly feel how does it really feel like. The anger we show to people might only tear our relationships with them.

The Most Beautiful Smile I Ever Saw

Smile is, universally, known to be the most comprehensible language that a person speaks. From north pole to south pole, once a person smiles, it means that he/ she is cheerful, cheery, merry, joyful, jovial, jolly, jocular, gleeful, carefree, untroubled, delighted, smiling, beaming, grinning, in good spirits, in a good mood, lighthearted, pleased, contented, content, satisfied, gratified, buoyant, radiant, sunny, blithe, joyous, beatific; thrilled, elated, exhilarated, ecstatic, blissful, euphoric, overjoyed, exultant, rapturous, in seventh heaven, on cloud nine, walking on air, jumping for joy, jubilant; chirpy, over the moon, on top of the world, tickled pink and what have you. Once we see a person smiling at us, we also smile back. But selected are those smiles that leave a special meaning or connotation in our hearts.

The most beautiful smile I ever saw in my lifetime was the smile of my proud foster mother. I could still bring back the time how she let me felt how happy and proud she was seeing me walking on the stage, receiving an exemplary award from my high school teachers. Her lips were on her red rouge, wide open. Even if she didn't say a word, I knew she was so proud of me and she's thanked God that I'm part of her life - her family.

I may be don't have any pictures to show you but that smile has been painted in my heart and will always be cherished in forever.

Good vs Evil

Do good and evil truly exist? Of course! We are all aware that these two do really exist. All of us humans are kind-hearted and virtuous but we are also, on the contrary, prone to commit sins. Just like any good book, it also tells lewd and bad things to show what is good or the opposite. People wouldn't be able to determine what is good if bad never existed and vice versa. Good and righteous people like popes and priests also commit mistakes and these mistakes, in one way or another, will give us the opportunities to correct and improve ourselves. What is important is that no matter how light or heavy the sin or mistake we commit, we should learn from it.

Lost Someone

Behind Your Eyes

Agony, I knew you've gone through
You've carried the burden, I knew it's true
All sacrifices you've given
But people you loved taken you for granted

You chose to be a slave for us
But why can't they find the pain in such?
Material things were more important
And greedy they've all become

 You went home once
Skinny head I saw at a glance
I learned it was deadly
Cancer at stage 4 so badly

Smiles and laughs you showed
Behind them I knew are miseries
You inspired me to conquer life
Never I expected it was our last

Few months went by,
You were thousand miles away
Bed-ridden we saw you through the Net with a smile
Celebrating your birthday, for last be worthwhile

Your eyes were smiling
 But I've seen what's inside
Your longing of love and care from us
I've seen it through your eyes

Injured soul you plagued
In melancholy you're deemed
With so much suffering
You arrived at your ending

Sad to say I wasn't there
When you lost your last breath
I just couldn't imagine
How you shouldered all the sorrows

It was on May 16, 2012
When you bade goodbye
You were caged in a metal box
When you're home again
You were dressed in white dress
Accented with gold and brown
I couldn't afford to look at you
For tears wouldn't stop falling for you

We lived in pain and sorrow
Asking why you did go
I thought of blaming people
But I knew you wouldn't want for sure

I wished you never had to leave us
But I knew it was God's plan
Forever living with the Creator
I know how happy and safe you are

That picture? My goodness that's 8 years ago! As you can see, My mother is pinning me a ribbon. And you know what? Never did I expect that time I would be part of the top 5 (I was top 4)! I even received BEST IN RELIGION. To be honest? I didn't know why. You may be telling ,me: "weeehh di nga?" Yes! That was all unexpected for me. Why?, because when I was in elementary, I never thought of making myself focused about my studies. All in my mind were having a crush, playing Chinese garter, making fool with classmates and whatever. I could still even remember that I had a crush by name of Gilbert, whom I was so dead! Dead na dead talaga! And you know what I did to catch his attention? I wore my shortest short during our graduation practices! My goodness! I can't imagine how I did that! Well anyway, I have so many things to tell about my elementary life by just using that picture. But for now, I think that's all
